South Korea Sees Rising Odds of 3% Growth, Its First in Five Years
Seoul's Finance Ministry says the chance of 3% economic growth this year has climbed sharply, a level not reached in five years.
SEOUL, Aug 6 (Reuters) - South Korea's Finance Ministry said on Thursday that the possibility has increased greatly of economic growth rising to the 3% level for the first time in five years.
Last month, the finance ministry raised this year's economic growth forecast to 3.0% from 2.0%. The economy grew 1.1% last year.
