The regulator and stock exchange sanctioned beneficial owners and entities tied to share trading in Barito Renewables Energy, Dian Swastatika Sentosa and Petrindo Jaya, part of market reforms.
(Corrects story after regulator clarifies that fines were issued for entities involved in trading of shares in three companies, not fines against the three companies)
BANGKOK, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Indonesia's financial regulator said on Friday that the stock exchange and regulators have handed down sanctions against the beneficial owners of three companies and some entities involved in the trading of their shares.
The fines were issued for alleged trading violations linked to shares of Barito Renewables Energy, Dian Swastatika Sentosa and Petrindo Jaya, the financial regulator said. It clarified earlier remarks that had indicated the companies themselves were fined, stating that was not the case.
The sanctions were part of Indonesia's market reforms, an official said.
