BEIJING, July 6 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's leader John Lee met Pan Gongsheng, governor of the People's Bank of China, in the city on Monday to exchange views on economic and financial issues, Lee's government said in a statement.

• The Hong Kong government would further support mutual market access between the financial hub and the Chinese mainland's financial markets and facilitate two-way capital flows, Lee said in the meeting.

• Hong Kong would help advance yuan internationalisation and facilitate more efficient circulation of yuan funds in the offshore market, Lee said.

• The government was working to build an international gold trading market in Hong Kong, including setting up a gold central clearing system, Lee said.
