ASEAN to Take Up Transboundary Haze at November Ministers' Meetings
The Philippines, this year's ASEAN chair, says tackling the haze blanketing parts of the region is on the agenda for foreign ministers' meetings ahead of the bloc's summit.
MANILA, Oct 13 (Reuters) - ASEAN foreign ministers will during a meeting next month seek to tackle the transboundary haze blanketing parts of the region, the bloc's chair, the Philippines, said on Tuesday.
"It's in the agenda," said foreign ministry spokesperson, Dominic Xavier Imperial, referring to preparatory foreign ministers' meetings in November ahead of the summit of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
